What is Instrument Grade?
Instrument Grade refers to how used (if any) an instrument is. Previous usage determines the instrument rental and purchase prices, as follows:
- New: A brand new, major brand name instrument, including Yamaha, Jupiter or Conn-Selmer, that has never been used.
- Used: A previously used instrument that is in excellent condition. These instruments may have minor scratches in the finish, but they will not effect play-ability. They have been repaired, sterilized and play tested by our repair staff, and are in excellent working order. Brands include Yamaha, Jupiter, Conn-Selmer (and affiliates), Knilling, etc.
- Economy: A previously used instrument that shows some sign of wear. This might include scratches or dents in the finish, which will not effect play-ability. These instruments have been completely repaired, sterilized and play tested by our repair staff, and are in excellent working order. Brands include Yamaha, Jupiter, Conn-Selmer (and affiliates), Holton, Buffet, Pearl, Knilling, etc.
